Pumpkin Pie Recipe

List of pumpkin pie ingredients:

1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
3/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
2 eggs
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin
1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk

Pumpkin Pie Preparation:

  1. Insert unbaked pie crust into pie pan and mold edges
  2. Preheat oven to 425 F.
  3. Combine sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and ground cloves in bowl and stir together well. In a separate large bowl, beat eggs lightly. Add the pumpkin and sugar-spice mixture to the eggs and stir together. Add evaporated milk and mix well with a spoon or wire whisk. Pour mixture into pie crust.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 F.; bake for an additional 40 - 50 minutes.  When knife or toothpick inserted into the middle of the pie comes out clean, the pumpkin pie is done. Remove the pie from oven and allow pumpkin pie to cool for 2 hours. This pumpkin pie is great plain or can be served with fresh whipped cream.
